3 Tips for Maintaining and Caring for YOUR Full Mouth Dental Implants

Taking care of your full mouth implant teeth is crucial to ensuring the success of the implant surgery. The daily care of your implant teeth is very similar to that of natural teeth. You need to keep your implant teeth clean and plaque-free, twice a day using a toothbrush and Waterpik® and visit your dental implant faculty practice twice a year for a thorough cleaning.

Here are the steps for your daily home care hygiene routine around your full mouth immediate teeth and supporting dental tooth implant:

Brush Your Teeth

Brush twice a day using a good quality, soft-bristled manual or electric toothbrush for 2-3 minutes. Make sure you brush gently in circular movements all the way up to the gumline.

Use a Waterpik

Use a Waterpik® every day to clean hard-to-reach places like underneath the full mouth implant teeth.

Use a Rubber Tip Gum Stimulator

Use a rubber tip gum stimulator to gently trace the gumline of full mouth implant teeth. This instrument will remove any food particles that may get trapped at the base of the gum, causing infection.

Clean Your Teeth Regularly

Remember to go into your dental implant faculty practice for cleanings at least twice a year. Self-cleaning, as recommended above, is helpful for cleaning the plaque and germs you can reach. However, with the new implant system, special equipment is needed to clean the implant areas effectively.

To conclude, taking care of your full mouth implant teeth is similar to taking care of natural teeth. With proper daily care and regular visits to your dental implant faculty practice, you can maintain the success of your implant surgery.
